I've been meaning to create a new Yahoo! account for some time now but have been putting it off. I normally only use my Yahoo! account for instant messaging, groups & as an extra email add for membership to some online sites. I've got my Gmail account for all my important emails so why make a new one, right?! Well, I never thought i would HAVE to create a new Yahoo! account since I couldn't use the old one, but tonight, it happened.
I reset my password thinking that Yahoo! would send the new password to my alternate email (Gmail account) but after 20 minutes of waiting for the email to arrive, I was starting to panic. I figured that maybe my request did not push through so I tried it again but to no avail. I tried logging in using my old password but it didn't work anymore! So I thought that maybe my alternate email wasn't really my Gmail account so i tried the one where you supposedly forgot your password and you enter your alternate email. I got the email right away so it was really supposed to be delivered there. But just in case, I decided to check my other email accounts (Hotmail, iAteneo & Atenista) which I haven't used in months but it wasn't delivered there either. By that time, I was already freaking out. It was a good thing I had logged in my YM account using meebo so I started copying all my contacts. I ranted to Sir Ice for a little bit and he tried to help me out. He was convincing me to create a new account but I said I needed some time to mourn. I saw Feliz online then ranted to her a bit to get things off my mind. After awhile, I decided, with the help of my friends that it was hopeless so I made my new Yahoo! account. Then, using meebo, I sent IMs to all my contacts informing them that it
would be the last time I would be able to use that account.
"hey guys! this is the last time i will be using this yahoo id. please add my new id: rach.delarama@yahoo.com to your address books and messenger lists. thanks! :)"

I was making the most out of my last few minutes with my account - rach3ll3_kix's lasts: icedeocampo, fegraced, ferrari4za, alden989 & karlevin. Dooy was even teasing me that I should leave my laptop & internet connection on for all eternity so I could still use my account but when I installed some patch, I realized that I had to restart my laptop. So I waited til it was just before midnight to do so while saying goodbye to the first email account I had.
